Hi, I’m Jennifer Clifford—the artist behind Adventures in Collage, a fine art and paper goods company based in San Francisco, California. My travel-inspired artwork is made for people who love to explore, seek meaningful experiences, and collect memories—whether close to home or across the globe.

An avid world traveler and former interior designer, I discovered my passion for collage by combining keepsakes from my adventures—maps, ticket stubs, pressed flowers—with the vibrant wallpapers and textiles I once used in design. Since 2013, I’ve worked as a full-time artist, creating layered, expressive pieces that celebrate place, beauty, and personal story.

My collages are grounded in real locations—San Francisco neighborhoods, California towns, and international destinations—but they often take on a dreamlike quality. I blend reference photos, textures, and memory into scenes that feel both familiar and just out of reach.

Each piece begins with a loose vision of a place or feeling, then evolves intuitively—altered paper over altered paper, layer by layer—adding, subtracting, and rearranging until the composition clicks. My process is imperfect, exploratory, and full of surprises—just like life.

Today, my work is handmade in my North Beach studio and collected by customers across the U.S. and beyond.

I also teach fellow artists how to turn their creative process into profitable, joy-filled businesses through prints, handmade goods, and craft markets.
