Original Artwork- Valparaiso Chile Collage

This collage is inspired by the vibrant coastal city of Valparaíso, Chile—famous for its steep hills, brightly painted houses, eclectic street art, and creative spirit. From crumbling facades to colorful staircases and the city's iconic funicular cable cars slowly climbing the hills, Valparaíso is bursting with energy, history, and artistic charm.

I created this piece during a trip to Chile in 2025, using a mix of painted papers, beer labels, ticket stubs, and travel brochures collected along the way. The collage was built on watercolor paper and later mounted to a 1.5" wood panel once I returned home. I finished it with hand-painted chunky stripes along the sides and sealed it with three layers of UV varnish for lasting protection and a vibrant finish.
